No doubt both the prestigious ISRO's projects Chandrayaan-1(Orbitor) and Chandrayaan-2(Lander), would definitely make all the Indians proud. The technical challenges we face and solve during these journeys, would make us more productive and confident in our future missions.
Already we have showed our capability to launch remote sensing satellites on our own. During 90's we are dependent on other nations to launch remote sensing satellites. Now we have acquired the capability to launch 1600 kg satellites in the Ploar Sunsynchronous orbits using PSLV. But comparatatively PSLV has less capabilities with other similar available rockets in the terms of weight and technologies being used. We have to still work on it to reduce the PSLV weight probably by using light weight composite materials and more sophisticated techniques.

Our GSLV still needs to be refined. Still, we didn't get the ability to launch our current INSATs although we are able to launch 2000kg satellites in geo stationary orbits and moreover, da
