A few students of the physics department at ETH Zurich would like to try to observe the down link of Chandrayaan-1. This as part of an 'astronomical week' at high altitude in the alps. For that we need to know all possible downlink frequencies. I've nothing found on the web up to now. I hope somebody can tell us all used frequencies as precise as possible

Hi,

I've copied what I believe is the s-band tracking beacon from chandrayaan-1 on 2230.793, since I think the spacecraft has a nominal transmitter frequency of 2230.800MHz. According to my calcs, its going at about 0.8Km/second.

If your interested in the RF aspect of space-craft tracking, please visit the www.hearsat.org website and also subscribe to the Hearsat-L mailing list at http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/hearsat
